Copyright & DMCA Policy

At SWEEP, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have adopted the following policy regarding copyright infringement.

We reserve the right to:

  1. Block access to or remove material we believe, in good faith, infringes a valid copyright and has been illegally copied or distributed by users, affiliates, or content providers.

  2. Suspend or terminate service for repeat offenders.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on or accessible through SWEEP infringes your copyright (or that of someone you represent), please send a notice containing the following to our Designated Agent:

  • (a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or authorized representative).

  • (b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

  • (c) Identification of the infringing material, including its location, with enough detail for us to verify.

  • (d) Contact information (name, address, phone, and email if available).
  • (e) A statement of good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or law.

  • (f) A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

2. Upon Receipt of a Proper Notice

When a valid notice is received:

  • (a) We may remove or disable access to the identified material.

  • (b) We may notify the content provider of the removal or restriction.
  • (c) We may suspend or terminate access for repeat offenders.

3. Submitting a Counter-Notice

If you believe the removed or disabled content was wrongly taken down, you may submit a counter-notice including:

  • (a) A physical or electronic signature.

  • (b) Identification of the removed/disabled material and its prior location.
  • (c) A statement of good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.

  • (d) Your name, address, phone number, and email (if available), plus a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal Court in your district (or in any U.S. district where SWEEP is located if outside the U.S.), and acceptance of service from the party who filed the original complaint.

If a proper counter-notice is received, SWEEP may notify the original complainant and restore the material within 10–14 business days, unless the copyright owner initiates legal action.
